Welcome to Gus Garcia University School!
I am Joel Garcia, the new principal at GGUS. It is a true honor to serve Edgewood ISD and the this school community as principal. My 30 years of experience in education include all levels: elementary, middle, and high school.
I am excited for the new school year at GGUS. Together, we will establish processes and procedures that help our students and staff enjoy success. Our culture will be guided by a focus on positive feedback and support toward academic results.
My family is the most important part of my life. I have been married to my wife Belinda, for 27 years. We have two adult children who are both currently pursuing higher education degrees.
